Throne Of Glass Book Review

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

FIRST OF ALL , thanks to my friend jasmine for recommending me this book

this is the story of an assassin , no this is the story of a girl had no choice other than being an assassin
she is pretty , thats the first thing you will get reading this book and she likes books she is funny and she holds her own ..

The characters :

Celaena Sardothien :
I name you Elentiya, ‘Spirit That Could Not Be Broken.’ ”
Names are not important. It’s what lies inside of you that matters.
I know what you went through in Endovier. I know what my people endure there, day after day. But you did not let the mines harden you; you did not let it shame your soul into cruelty.

ME: see ? thats what i was talking about
many reviews here where complaining about her interest in good looking in silk and gowns and pearl embroidered masks when she had to have no interest in these .
she is a girl after all , why cant she still love pretty things ?
i liked the character for this . the cruel world never blurred her vision for beautiful tiny things
she is strong enough to shield her heart that after all what she suffered she still own a young incomprehensible beating thing in her chest .
But is she flawless ? i cant say that , she had her moments too .

Dorian:
in my opinion :
Dorian is a typical prince with daddy issues. too busy winking and thinking himself so charming, but stumping his feet and crying every time his dad doesn’t think he’s capable of being an emperor .
so the new girl with pretty face , mysterious past and whom very good with swords and daggers is some good to forget about court life ..

choal :
we didnt get to know this character much here but he was okay .
one thing i couldnt understand : how he is the captain of guards and haven't killed anyone , yet ?
that's kinda out of place

Nehemia :
i liked hers and celaena's friendship , they both were so similar
when celaena suspected nehema was behind the mysterious murders , i felt a bit disappointed.

**fighting Scenes were Awesome in here and liked how the writer carved the circumstances of the story , the castle all made of glass , the clock tower , the underground tunnels and tomb , daramis , the beast whatever his name was ( i cant remember the name , well XD! ) .

But all in all , though the book was written in a simple fashion and i have some issues here and there but, i like the story .
and it has many similarities with Poison Study
these stories are totally my type , i like assassins and appreciate good fighting scenes .

“You could rattle the stars," she whispered. "You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That’s what scares you most.”
