My rating: 5 of 5 stars
preview **
so this is the final book
so !
the End is coming soon
so!
ugh, so i really wish the writer wouldnt spend her time here convincing us that alex is being mean and rude , expecting us to hold our women's rights banners , running over him breaking his bones
And i wish lena wouldn't turn into a drama queen
dare lena do that ! i'll SOS her , Duh .
these type of ends is frustrating i wish i am not running into one of them I've just did not long ago with the Shatter Me series .
EDIT *
Review after reading :
Review after reading :
Take down the walls.
That is, after all, the whole point. You do not know what will happen if you take down the walls; you cannot see through to the other side, don’t know whether it will bring freedom or ruin, resolution or chaos. It might be paradise or destruction.
Take down the walls.
Otherwise you must live closely, in fear, building barricades against the unknown, saying prayers against the darkness, speaking verse of terror and tightness.
Otherwise you may never know hell; but you will not find heaven, either. You will not know fresh air and flying.
All of you, wherever you are: in your spiny cities, or your one-bump towns. Find it, the hard stuff, the links of metal and chink, the fragments of stone filling your stomach. And pull, and pull, and pull.
I will make a pact with you: I will do it if you will do it, always and forever.
Take down the walls.
I am bewildered ..
"And that right is ours against all challenges. For neither do men live nor die in vain."
this line from " war of the worlds " movie flashed in mind while reading the last chapter of this book
there was something concurrent between these two ends , its :
That humanity after all wins , Good in a way or another wins .
That love cant be scrubbed clean by detergents nor buried by dirt .
i thought that i should write the review after i get a hold on my emotions , but then i couldnt resist the urge to write it . i always liked lauren oliver but now at the moment i am all a new level
She is brilliant .
I like how she wasnt just telling us an idea , she was convincing us too
she would write
"Maybe, after all, they were right about the cure. I am no happier than I was when I believed that love was a disease. In many ways, I am less happy."
or
"Sometimes I think maybe they were right all along, the people on the other side in Zombieland. Maybe it would be better if we didn’t love. If we didn’t lose, either. If we didn’t get our hearts stomped on, shattered; if we didn’t have to patch and repatch until we’re like Frankenstein monsters, all sewn together and bound up by who knows what"
and THEN comes the conclusion
that is the danger, and beauty, of life without the cure. There is always wilderness and tangle, and the path is never clear.
i wish i can forget it all and read it all over again , this is a trilogy to be re-read , i literally loved it down to every page !
Finally , these five stars are not the book's only
but the whole series rating
as awesome as it is , IT would be always one of my favorites .
